This Weeks Featured Beauty: Iskra Lawrence

Iskra is a plus size model who hails from the UK. He got her start in the modeling industry working for small designers. She was mostly seen modeling underwear, which let her to her real debut as an ARIE model. She was more than thrilled to take part in ARIE’S REAL campaign which featured models of all sizes in unretouched photos. Iskra says she used to limit what she ate and exercise constantly when she first wanted to break into the modeling industry.

However, she has stopped that obsessive lifestyle and has learned to love her body. She was constantly shamed for being “too fat” so she took to social media and posted this above photograph of herself lying on a pile of junk food looking beautiful as ever. Iskra hopes to inspire young girls and woman by showing that loving yourself first is the most important thing you must achieve in life. Also, that size does not matter because what’s inside determines your beauty. Iskra is one of the many inspiring faces helping to change the fashion industry and society’s standards of beauty.
