THIS WEEKS FEATURED BEAUTY: SABINA KARLSSON

Sabina Karlsson is originally from Sweden and is well known for getting her start on the show Americas Next Top Model. Fans who have watched Sabina since she lost in the race for the top model prize, know she was much thinner back then. Like many other models Sabina stuck to a restrictive diet when she was trying to break into the modeling industry. After leaving Americas next top model she soon realized that size was not important. When being interviewed by ELLE magazine Sabina stated that she “would never want to go back” to being as stick thin as she was. She was then snatched up by Milk Management Modeling in London.

Being a plus size model, who is also of mixed races, Sabina wants to represent the underrepresented in the modeling industry. Since, she has been featured in endless projects, fashion shows, GLAMOUR magazine, Vogue Italia, and countless other prestigious fashion outlets. She is also proud to represent the Keep It Real Campaign which promotes fashion that selects models of all sizes and races and who do not retouch their published photos. It’s safe to say that Sabina’s curves, kinky locks, and freckles will continue to grace the fashion scene as she spread her body positive messages. When working on the DIVERSE BEAUTY project, shot by Alexi Lubomirski, Sabina said, “Embrace that you’re unique” and encouraged all her fans to post more pictures of themselves where they feel beautiful.
