Metal Crystals...What?

We learn in our early schooling of the conductivity of metals and the multitude of products they are used in (wiring, contacts for electrical switches (http://geology.com/articles/uses-of-silver/), medals (http://www.sbcgold.com/blog/top-6-common-uses-for-gold/), etc.)

Where else do we find metals: jewelry. Look at any piece of jewelry and you'll find a useful conductor for energy.

I was flipping through my crystal books and found copper, gold, and silver in their pages, so during my interview of Leslie Gera the topic was eagerly discussed. Leslie explained that most metals form differently every time, but copper, gold, and silver form the same way no matter what; that quality is what makes it a crystal.
