How to decorate your Christmas tree… I’m taking a break from writing about the sickening and vicious monster that is my mom’s breast cancer. So today you will find a story below about what it takes to decorate a Christmas tree at the Goncalves’ household. First, you must drag everyone out of the house and to Stew Lenard’s… Now getting everyone out of the house must be the hardest part. Get dressed, get in the car, and make it through the traffic… Let me tell you that can take the Spirits from anyone. But once you step into the tree farm and smell the wonderful smell that is pine, and it starts to flurry just the slightest, that is the Christmas miracle. After agreeing on the height.. 6’, getting the tree wrapped and buying tree food takes about 45 minutes. After splitting into two cars (because my dad doesn’t want to get his new car scratched or dirty because of the tree) my dad and I pick up the tree in a two-seat car and go home. We also got to see a beautiful sunset.

Once you get the tree home, you must first shake it outside … and find the base to place the tree into. Bring everything inside from the freezing cold and try to stand the tree in the base, and make it straight (a little to the left. too much, to the right, bring it back just a little.)

Now it's time to get the lights on the tree putting the lights on the tree is the best part. You get to see the pretty lights glow on the tree and see your tree come to life. Next, it’s getting the ornaments, this is tricky because you can end up breaking more than you put on. But all in all, you get to spend some quality time with family and see a beautiful end result.
